Yelp has plenty of restaurant reviews and OpenTable lets you make reservations at many of those restaurants. Well, now you can make those OpenTable reservations directly from the Yelp website. A perfectly logical union. [NYT] More »

    @Androfroyo: They’re not really competition though, are they? Yelp doesn’t offer a reservation service, as far as I know. If anything, it’s a highly effective partnership.

    Now can we have links to MenuPages in Yelp and in the iPhone app? MP’s reviews are incomplete at best, and more often completely absent, so I can’t really see a downside to that partnership. A Yelp, OpenTable, and MenuPages trifecta would make all other restaurant review aggregators irrelevant.
